Victims of crime have the right to use the assistance of a proxy.
A proxy is a person whose task is to represent you at court, police and prosecutor’s office and support you in your actions. The proxy acts on your behalf, and everything he/she does has the same effect as if you did it personally.
The proxy can be a barrister or a solicitor - a person with proper qualifications and experience in their job.
If you cannot afford a proxy, you may request the Court to grant you a public legal representative.
